EIE




The main reference for Basque Literature.



The EIE (Basque Writers' Association) founded in 1982 was created as a not-for-profit organisation with the aim of defending the professional and moral rights of Basque writers.



It currently has about 325 members and its aims are as follows:

* To defend the professional and moral rights of Basque writers
* To play an active, effective role in Basque language and cultural activity
* To spread Basque literature throughout the Basque Country and abroad
* To promote the works of its members in society

The Booker Prize

To the home of The Man Booker Prizes with exclusive news, interviews and articles about the Man Booker Prize for Fiction, Man Booker International and the 40th anniversary celebrations taking place this year.

The Man Booker Prize for Fiction promotes the finest in fiction by rewarding the very best book of the year.

In 2005 the Man Booker International prize was launched which, every two years, recognises one writer for their achievement in fiction.

This year the Man Booker Prize celebrates its 40th anniversary and there will be major celebrations, as well as the announcement of The Best of The Booker.
